Titancore Hire offers both dry hire and wet hire. Dry hire means we supply the machine and you supply the operator — it's the most cost-effective option if you have someone qualified on your team. Wet hire means we supply the machine and one of our experienced operators, so you can focus on running the job. Not sure which suits your project? Give us a call and we'll help you figure out the best fit.
Yes — dry hire is the more affordable option when you have a qualified operator on your team, as you're only paying for the machine. Wet hire costs more because it includes our operator, but it removes the need to source and manage your own person. At Titancore, we offer competitive rates for both — contact us for current pricing. We'll help you work out which option makes more sense for your job and budget.
Yes — Titancore Hire is open to tradies, landscapers, plumbers, concretors, and homeowners alike. If you're going dry hire, bring a valid driver's licence and make sure you're confident and competent to operate the machine safely. If you'd prefer wet hire, we'll send one of our operators with the machine — no licence or experience required on your end. We'll walk you through everything at handover regardless of which option you choose.
For dry hire, you don't need a formal licence to operate our mini excavator in NSW — but you do need to be competent and safe. For residential or small commercial projects, a valid driver's licence is what you'll need to bring to handover. If your worksite requires a VOC or safety induction, make sure that's sorted before booking. Choosing wet hire? No licence needed on your end — our operator takes care of all of that. Not sure? Give us a call and we'll help you figure it out.
To pick up from our depot you'll need: a valid driver's licence, your payment method (we take card), and a signed hire agreement. If you've arranged delivery, we'll need an authorised person on-site to sign off the machine. First time on an excavator? We'll walk you through the controls before you leave.
A VOC isn't a government licence — it's a site or company requirement. We don't require one to hire from us, but if you're taking the machine onto a managed construction site, check with your site manager first. If you're working on your own property or a residential job, a VOC generally isn't needed.
We recommend booking at least 1–2 days ahead to guarantee availability — especially for weekly or weekend hires. Need it urgently? Give us a call and we'll do our best to sort you out same-day. The earlier you book, the more likely we can work around your schedule.
Yes — Titancore Hire offers flexible hire periods to suit your project: daily, weekend, weekly, and monthly rates are all available. Weekend hires need to be arranged by Friday. Got a long-term or ongoing project? Ask about our extended hire rates — they're significantly more cost-effective than rolling day rates.
Getting a quote from Titancore is simple. Fill out our online enquiry form or give us a call directly and we'll have pricing back to you fast. For straightforward daily hires on the CAT mini excavator, we can usually confirm rates on the spot. Complex or long-term hires may take a little longer to quote accurately.
Yes, weekend hire is available! Just make sure to arrange pickup or delivery for Friday before our cut-off time. Returns are due first thing Monday morning. Weekend hires are great value — you get two full days of use at a rate better than two separate day hires.
Both options are available. You're welcome to collect the machine from our Western Sydney depot, or we can arrange delivery straight to your site. We cover greater Sydney and surrounding areas — contact us to confirm your area and get a delivery quote. All machines arrive fuelled, clean, and ready to work.
Titancore Hire is based in Western Sydney and services the greater Sydney metro area. Not sure if we cover your suburb? Give us a call or drop us a message — if we can get the machine to you, we will. Delivery fees vary by distance, so contact us for a specific quote to your site.
We'll always call ahead before delivery. If no one is available to sign for the machine on arrival, we may need to reschedule — and a redelivery fee may apply. Make sure an authorised person is on-site or available to receive the equipment. Let us know in advance if your site access or timing changes.
Our CAT 301.7 CR mini excavator is perfect for a wide range of jobs: residential and backyard excavation, trenching for plumbing and electrical, landscaping, pool prep, and small demolition. At 1.7 tonnes it's compact enough for tight access — driveways, backyards, narrow gates — while still packing real digging power. Not sure if it's the right size? Call us and we'll tell you straight.
The CAT 301.7 CR handles a huge range of tasks including: trenching for plumbing, gas, and electrical, landscaping and garden renovation, site clearing and soil removal, pool excavation, retaining wall prep, and driveway or slab preparation. If you're a tradie or a homeowner tackling a backyard project, this is the machine for the job.
Our CAT 301.7 CR comes standard with a digging bucket. Additional attachments may be available — get in touch with us when you enquire and let us know what your job requires. As our fleet grows, we're expanding attachment availability. We'll always be upfront about what's in stock and what's compatible with the machine.
Every Titancore machine is delivered or collected in top condition: fully fuelled, clean, serviced, and safety-checked. You'll receive a pre-hire inspection report confirming the machine's condition at handover. We're a small, quality-focused fleet — our machines aren't beaten-up hire yard gear, they're well-maintained and reliable. If you ever have a concern, call us immediately.
Yes, a refundable security bond is required on all hires. The bond amount depends on the machine and hire duration. It's held against the equipment and refunded in full once the machine is returned on time, in the same condition, and with the fuel topped up. Bond payments are taken by card and refunded to the same card after inspection.
We accept credit and debit card payments. Payment is required before or at the time of handover. Bond payments are also taken by card. We're working on expanding payment options — if you have a specific requirement, just ask when you enquire.
For dry hire, responsibility for the machine passes to you for the duration of the hire — any damage, accidental or otherwise, is on your tab. For wet hire, our operator is responsible for the safe operation of the machine while they're on site. In both cases, always use Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) before any groundwork — hitting a gas or power line is dangerous and expensive. Dry hirers should ensure they have appropriate insurance coverage for hired-in plant before the machine arrives.
Yes — machines go out fuelled and need to come back fuelled. Returning the machine with a short tank will result in a fuel levy. It's simple: top it up before you return it and you'll have no issues. Refuelling costs us more time and money than it costs you at the bowser, so we keep it fair for everyone.
Absolutely. Whether you're picking up from our depot or we're delivering to site, we'll walk you through the machine — controls, safety checks, and anything specific to the CAT 301.7 CR you need to know. First-time hirer? No problem at all. We'd rather spend 15 minutes with you at handover than deal with an avoidable issue mid-job.
Before every shift, complete a walk-around check: inspect fluid levels (fuel, hydraulic oil, coolant), look for any visible damage or leaks, check tracks and bucket pins, and confirm your work zone is clear of people, underground services, and overhead hazards like power lines. Always use Dial Before You Dig (1100) before breaking ground. Wear appropriate PPE — steel-caps, hi-vis, and hard hat on any active site.
If something goes wrong with the machine during your hire, call us immediately. We'll assess the issue and work as quickly as possible to resolve it — whether that's remote troubleshooting, a site visit, or a swap if needed. Our machines are well-maintained to avoid downtime, but we understand that time on-site is money and we take that seriously.
For dry hire, day-to-day care of the machine is on you during the hire period — daily pre-start checks (fluid levels, greasing if required, cleaning off mud build-up) and treating the machine with care. Major mechanical servicing is our responsibility. For wet hire, our operator handles all pre-start checks and machine care as part of the service. Either way, if you notice anything unusual with the machine, let us know straight away.
We strongly recommend all hirers carry appropriate insurance before taking possession of the machine. For commercial operators, this means your existing plant & equipment policy should cover hired-in machinery, and your public liability should be current. For residential or homeowner hires, check if your home & contents or landlord policy covers hired equipment — many don't. Ask us if you need guidance on what to look for.
Titancore carries insurance on our fleet assets. However, our coverage does not extend to damage caused during your hire, your public liability exposure, or underground service strikes on your site. You are responsible for your operations and any claims arising from them. Make sure your own cover is in place before the machine arrives.
This is one of the most common and costly risks in excavation. Always call Dial Before You Dig (1100) or visit their website before any groundwork. DBYD plans only show services up to your property boundary — once on your property, you'll need a private service locator to be safe. If you strike a service, stop immediately, keep people clear, and call emergency services if needed. Any repair costs are your responsibility as the hirer.
